Bodybuilding Legend Ronnie Coleman is Back at the Gym

It seems like Ronnie Coleman is back at the gym, but for the time being, the 54-year-old bodybuilding legend is exclusively sticking to cardio until he’s back in shape for weight training. On Christmas day, Coleman posted a video on his Instagram profile in which he was doing cardio training at the gym. The caption read “Nothing serious, just cardio, no lifting no weights whatsoever. Going to be 100% healed before I touch any kind of weights. That’s for damn sure!!”

Following a career in which he won the Mr. Olympia title 8 times, setting a record for the biggest number of International Bodybuilding and Fitness Foundation titles, Coleman had completely worn out his body, pushing it to its limits. Among the operations he needed were a spinal fusion, disc decompressions, and hip replacements. "Every surgery I've had done was like $300,000 to $500,000 so the last three surgeries I had almost spend $2 million dollars!" Coleman said in an interview with bodybuilding magazine Muscular Development.

There were even concerns that he might lose his ability to walk and would have to sit in a wheelchair, but after this video, such concerns were alleviated since the champ seems to be taking proper care of his health and giving his body the proper time to recover from its damages.
